Congrats Jeff (for two reasons)

I’m out of town Thursday, returning on Sunday to witness my friend Jeff pass from singleness to marriagehood. He’s bestowed the best man status on yours truly and it’s a real honor. The weekend will be a complete whirlwind as I’m leaving town at noon and arriving in MN just in time for the bachelor’s party. Friday is the rehearsal dinner which should be a blast, even though we’re going to have to leave early. You see, the feature film that we’ve been working on is finally close enough to completion to have a premiere at a festival in Rochester, MN so we’ll be flying across town to introduce the film and do a Q&A afterward. Should be a great time. Then Saturday is the wedding. And on Sunday, he rested.

“2216” – a 510 Cinema film

Spent some time on set this weekend working with the 510 Cinema/Avenue Pictures gang on their latest short film collaboration “2216.” They had a fantastic crew, headed by the venerable Larry Bolding, and the shots and lighting that I was seeing looked fantastic. I was only able to be on set for a short while so I only saw three of the actors in a handful of scenes, but after watching, I’m really looking forward to the finished film.

Great job to the cast and crew.

John Farrell - 1958 - 2007 - you will be missed

John went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening. The news has rocked our little film world. John was one of the lead actors in our feature film “Heart of the City.” For those that knew him, he was always quick with a joke and was the type of person that would do anything for anyone.

You will truly be missed John.
